Power
Flush FX2 is designed for use with CLEARFLOW® power
flushing pumps, and is the flushing
liquid to choose for the most rapid and effective results.
It is a vigorous 'one shot' flushing and descaling liquid
which starts to work immediately after addition to the
system.
Power
Flush FX2 enables heating engineers to thoroughly cleanse
a heating system in just one visit, a significant
benefit when so many households have both partners working
full time.
When
using Power Flush FX2 there is normally no need for a prior
visit to pre-treat the system with flushing chemicals several
days before the power flush, saving on expense and inconvenience.
Power
Flush FX2 rapidly dissolves and mobilises the rust, sludge
and corrosion deposits which accumulate in the systems
as a result of gradual decay, whether from corrosion as
a result of bad design and air ingress, or lack of an effective
corrosion inhibitor.
Removal
of these deposits can cure or prevent circulation problems
such as completely or partially cold radiators, frequent
circulating pump failure and boiler noises caused by debris
accumulating in the heat exchanger.
Application & usage:
2.5
litres of Power Flush FX2 should be used to treat a
typical heating system of 100 litres capacity (approx.
10 radiators), and 5 litres if the system has severe
flow problems, or has microbore piping.
FIRST
STAGE:
With
all radiator and zone valves wide open, use the CLEARFLOW® pump to
mobilise and relatively loose debris and corrosion deposits,
and then purge them from the system through the dump
valve. Close the dump valve and restore circulation through
the CLEARFLOW® and heating system.
SECOND
STAGE:
Add
Power Flush FX2 through the CLEARFLOW® filler cap
before commencing individual radiator flushing. FX2 may
be used on a cold system, although firing the boiler
for a few minutes after application of FX2 will cause
the reaction to proceed faster. Close radiator valves
on all but one radiator, allowing full flow through this
radiator for5 minutes. Repeat for all other radiator
sand change CLEARFLOW® pump to dumping mode. Continue
dumping until waste water is absolutely clear.
After
purging all debris to waste, add NEUTRALISING
CRYSTALS to the CLEARFLOW® tank and circulate
for 5 minutes before a final purge, allowing waste water
to run clear. Check the waste water with pH paper.
To
prevent future corrosion of system, add SYSTEMSAFE-DM scale
and corrosion inhibitor to CLEARFLOW® tank and circulate
through system for a further 5 minutes before disconnection.
Use one litre per 100 litres system water content, or
1% dosage rate by volume.
REFER
TO THE APPROPRIATE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET BEFORE
USE.
CAUTION: Power
Flush FX2 is acidic and, therefore,
suitable protective clothing, gloves and goggles should
be worn.
When
using any acid, there is a possibility of flammable
hydrogen gas being evolved, and the working area should
be well ventilated. Avoid smoking nearby, or any other
means of ignition.
