KAMCHLOR MINI TABS

QUICK ACTING CHLORINE RELEASE TABLETS FOR ACCURATE STERILISATION OF WATER SYSTEMS

KAMCHLOR TABS are a safe, easy to handle source of free chlorine, enabling accurate solutions to be made up. The product is in tablet form to give a pre-measured dose, enabling non-technical users to make up accurate in-use solutions at the desired level.

KAMCHLOR Tabs are simply added to water and allowed to dissolve. The large surface area in relation to mass, combined with effervescent properties, ensures rapid dissolution in water systems.

On a strength for strength basis, KAMCHLOR TABS possess greater biocidal properties than liquid bleach, while tests show that they are less corrosive to metals than bleach.

KAMCHLOR TABS provide a pre-measured dose, reducing the risk of overdosing and subsequent corrosion, which is commonplace using sodium hypochlorite solutions.

BACKGROUND:

Chlorine is generally regarded as the most effective disinfectant in destroying bacteria and viruses. The traditional source of chlorine has been bleach / sodium hypochlorite solution, which is freely available. However, sodium hypochlorite has inherent disadvantages:

1. Instability - sodium hypochlorite degrades with age, and in adverse conditions can lose most of its strength.

2. Its solution is corrosive, both to skin and eyes of users, and to metals commonly used in heating / cooling systems.

3. It is difficult to store and handle, and containers should have vented caps for safety.

4. Available strength varies widely, making it difficult to ensure accurate free chlorine levels.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: As a rough guide, 50 MINITABS are sufficient for treatment of 1000 litres of water when a chlorine level of 50ppm is required.

Add tablets to water to obtain desired strength free chlorine solution. Tablets will dissolve faster in warm water.
